About

I am the Mark Pigott Associate Professor of U.S. History at Trinity College Dublin.  Though I am American, I have lived in Ireland since 2008.

My research explores connections between thought, culture, and politics in the twentieth-century United States and beyond.  I am especially interested in political ideologies, transnational movements, race and ethnicity, the history of social science, and the politics of popular music.
