My first book, Radical Ambition: C. Wright Mills, the Left, and American Social Thought, is a biography of an influential American social critic. Mills is a fascinating thinker whose ideas remain relevant today. His life offers an excellent vehicle to explore broader transformations in twentieth-century thought and politics.
